‘Meet The Masons’ organised evening
THE EVENT
We have a healthy membership at Black Country Heritage Lodge so it is part of our Lodge philosophy to help other Lodges with their membership. We do this with our ‘Meet The Masons’ evenings which we will carry out free of charge to Lodges within the West Midlands area.
We have a seasoned presenter who uses multi-media equipment to put across a very entertaining presentation on what Freemasonry is all about. Our theme is ‘entertain to engage.’ It works well for us. We have long learned to our benefit, that when guests are laughing, they are listening. We have helped numerous West Midlands Lodges to recruit new candidates with this event.
HOW IT WORKS
The onus is on your Lodge of course, (or group of Lodges) to attract sufficient gentlemen to attend the event. You really need a minimum of six to create the right atmosphere.
We provide you with an information pack to enable you to put together your own presentation team to work with us on the night. The team will consist of a representative of an entered apprentice, fellow craft, master mason, W.M., Past Master and you will also need to persuade a Grand Officer to attend on the night.
We start the event with our multi-media presentation (equipment provided) which is of approximately 20 minutes duration. We then introduce your team which is also of approximately 20 minutes duration.
We then summarise the presentation with qualifications and commitments for freemasonry. This leaves sufficient time for questions and keeps the whole event within one hour duration. Anything above this and the interest of gentlemen can quickly wane along with their prospects of seeking membership.
The event then continues at the Festive Board, where you should plan to commence no later than 7-30pm.
Depending upon the views of your Lodge members, partners may also be invited along to this event.
